우리나라 영어 수업만으로는 뉘앙스를 배울 수 없는 표현들이 있는데, 이 표현이 그 중 하나인 것 같다.

• might as well + V

오히려, 한국어로는 자주 쓸 수 있는 표현이지만, 영어로 옮기려면 어떻게 하면 좋을까 싶어 못찼았던 표현에 가깝다고 하겠다.

<메리엄 웹스터>
- used to say that something should be done or accepted because it cannot be avoided or because there is no good reason not to do it

<캠브리지>
- used to suggest doing something, often when there is nothing better to do

<콜린스 코빌드>
- If you say that you might as well do something, or that you may as well do it, you mean that you will do it although you do not have a strong desire to do it and may even feel slightly unwilling to do it.
