모름지기 음악은 listen 하는 것이거늘, 음악을 face 한다는 것은 무슨 뜻일까?

명사로서 얼굴의 뜻 외에, face의 동사로서의 뜻을 다시 한 번 짚어보자.

그러면, 음악을 face 한다는 것은 어떻게 받아들여야 할까?

the music을 원하지는 않지만 혹은 피하고 싶지만, 어쩔 수 없이 받아들여야 하는 상황이라는 의미일 것이다.

face the music의 뜻을 사전에서 찾아보자.

군대 혹은 오케스트라에서부터 유래되었다는 설이 있긴 하지만, 정확한 기원은 알려지지 않았다.

다만, 썩 유쾌한 상황은 아니었으리라는 상상은 가능할 것이다.
